It is now compulsory for all pets entering Sri Lanka to be identified with a Microchip. It is ideally recommended to use an ISO standard Microchip, as the readers available at the quarantine may not be able to read other types. If your pet is microchip with a different type, you may have to provide a reader at the quarantine inspection.
